Create a deck
Use this when you are starting from an idea rather than an existing file.
Steps
- Pick a deck type. This sets the layouts the prompt offers — a recommendation deck is not shaped like a research readout.
- Choose a look. Theme, background and accent. You can also wear a model style — a look distilled from what a specific AI builds when left to its own taste.
- Write a brief. Topic, audience, length, tone, language, anything that must appear. It is optional, but the more precise it is, the less you will edit.
- Press Copy prompt and paste it into your assistant.
- Bring back the file. Open it and print, or carry on to PowerPoint.
What you end up with
One self-contained .html file: styles, layout rules and print setup inside it.
No assets folder, no network requests, nothing to break when you email it.
Gotchas
- Ask for a downloadable file. The prompt already does, but some assistants still answer in a code block. That is fine — use Render a code reply.
- One idea per slide. The prompt sets word and bullet budgets on purpose. If you loosen them in your brief, expect crowded slides.
- Long decks drift. Past roughly 20 slides most models start forgetting the format. Generate in two passes and splice with Update a deck.
- Weaker models benefit most. The template carries the design, so a small or local model produces a deck that looks like the same product as a frontier one.
